gnuserv software package provides Allows you to attach to an already running Emacs, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnuserv
gnuserv is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnuserv package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnuserv *
You will get with gnuserv package name, version, architecture and description in a table
